Mechanical Architect in Stevenage

Design and develop the mechanical architecture of cutting-edge missile systems. This leading defence company that produces military weapons systems will reward your hard work significantly with bonuses, annual salary reviews and paid overtime among other benefits. You will be responsible for capturing and managing mechanical requirements as well as ensuring that these are implemented across all missile sub-assemblies within given time and budget frames. About the Role:Analyse the overall product structure, mechanical interfaces, and architecture.Produce adherence to key design principles such as modularity, reusability, and design for assembly, and provide support during the product design and review phases.Manage technical relationships with suppliers to ensure on-time and on-budget delivery. About You:Ideally educated to degree level, or equivalent experienceExperience of electro-mechanical and mechanical designExperience developing proving logic and generating compliance evidenceAwareness of broader engineering fields, such as Materials, Tolerancing, Configuration Control, Vibration, Shock, Fatigue, Six Sigma & Lean Design, V-model, DFMEA Key Information:Role: Senior Mechanical Architect - MissilesSalary: £35,000-£50,000 Plus Bonus & BenefitsLocation: Stevenage OR BoltonHybrid working: 3 Days a Week On-Site Key Skills:Mechanical design, electro-mechanical design, compliance, materials, tolerancing, configuration, Six Sigma, Lean Design, DFMEA, defence, missiles, SC You will be successful in this role if you have an in-depth understanding of electro-mechanical design and architecture in a controlled environment. Due to the nature of work undertaken at our client's site, incumbents of these positions are required to meet special nationality rules and therefore these vacancies are only open to British or Dual Citizens.
