If you're seeking a role where your impact is felt daily, this position is tailor-made for you.Salary up to £36,000 per annum, depending upon experience plus competitive benefits package.Key Responsibilities:Oversee all aspects of purchasing functions for goods and raw materials.Negotiate lead times with vendors and swiftly resolve supplier issues.Expedite orders to maintain production schedules, actively participating in shortage meetings.Review material quantities and promptly communicate any issues to management.Support business improvement initiatives through Lean and 5S activities.Strategically plan and execute material purchase orders to meet customer demand and company objectives.Investigate and approve supplier invoice discrepancies.Drive supplier delivery performance through KPI tracking and regular reviews.Experience Required:CIPS Certification (Or equivalent).Strong background in casting and machining, including subcontract machine shop management.Demonstrated experience in materials management and purchasing within a manufacturing setting.Proficiency in SAP.Familiarity with scheduling, MRP, MPS, and consignment stocking.Proactive problem-solving skills and initiative.Effective communication skills with all organisational levels and external stakeholders.Ability to work autonomously and collaboratively within a small team.This position is based in Redditch and is easily commutable from Bromsgrove, Studley, Alcester, Droitwich, Alvechurch, Evesham, Birmingham, Solihull, Worcester, Kidderminster and Stourbridge.Ready to elevate your career?
