About the Role

La Marzocco UK is seeking a dynamic and creative Marketing Manager to join our team in London to lead our marketing efforts in the UK and Ireland.

This role is pivotal in driving our brand forward through effective marketing strategies, brand activations and event planning and execution.

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in marketing, with a passion for hospitality and a keen enthusiasm for building community and engagement within the specialty coffee industry.

We’re looking for a strategic thinker with excellent communication skills who can confidently step into the role of brand representative; comfortably taking centre stage at a wide variety of coffee events to represent the brand, build and maintain relationships with our partner network, and continuously evolve the coffee community in collaboration with our sales and aftersales departments; in line with quarterly and yearly marketing strategies and overall company roadmaps.

A highly organised multitasker, reporting to the Managing Director, the Marketing Manager will make use of market research and analysis to develop unique marketing strategies to accomplish organic growth and long-term company objectives, lead the marketing team on online and offline marketing activities while remaining true to the brand identity of La Marzocco, including leading the planning and execution of coffee industry events and overseeing the production of all promotional materials and marketing campaigns, while adhering to the marketing budget.

The ideal candidate is someone highly creative with experience in marketing strategies, events, content and social media management.

In addition to being an outstanding communicator, they will also demonstrate excellent leadership, interpersonal and analytical skills and the ability to develop authentic, strong relationships with our customer base.

The candidate must have a valid UK driving license and a full passport.

This position is available immediately, initially offered on a 6-month probation period.

Job Purpose, Responsibilities and Duties

Marketing Strategy and Brand Activation

  • Develop and implement marketing strategies to aid sales and enhance brand visibility and growth.
  • Collaborate with commercial and home sales teams to align marketing efforts with business goals.
  • Plan and execute brand activation initiatives to engage with our target audience and elevate the La Marzocco brand.
  • Conduct market research to identify trends and opportunities in the specialty coffee and hospitality markets.

Event Planning and Execution

  • Lead the planning and execution of events, including exhibiting at coffee festivals and other industry events, creating community focused events in line with sales strategy, product launches, home activations and community engagement activities.
  • Work closely with the sales, aftersales and home teams to create seamless event experiences that highlight our community, products and brand values.
  • Develop and execute promotional campaigns for events to maximize exposure and lead generation.

Leadership and People Management

  • Provide leadership and guidance to the marketing team, fostering a collaborative and innovative work environment.
  • Manage and mentor team members, promoting professional development and high performance.

Digital Marketing and Social Media communication

·       Manage the company’s online presence, ensuring consistent and engaging content across platforms.

  • Align online communication efforts with overall marketing strategies.
  • Oversee social media platforms, SEO initiatives, and digital campaigns to ensure cohesive and impactful online presence.
  • Work with the Digital Coordinator to analyse digital marketing metrics to measure effectiveness and make data-driven decisions.

Community Engagement and Partnership Building

·       Create engagement within the coffee industry, provide support to our partners, building strong relationships and driving brand loyalty.

  • Develop and maintain partnerships with key stakeholders to support marketing initiatives and expand brand reach.
  • Gather and analyse customer feedback to improve marketing strategies and customer experience.
  • Highlight new target audiences and deliver strategies to engage with them most effectively.

Marketing ROI and Budgeting

  • Monitor and report on the effectiveness of marketing campaigns, ensuring a positive return on investment.
  • Manage the marketing budget, ensuring efficient allocation of resources to maximize impact.

Overall, we are looking for someone who has/is:

-     Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business Administration, or a related field.

-     Minimum of 3 years of experience in marketing in a similar role.

-     An interest in the specialty coffee industry.

-     Proven track record of developing and executing successful marketing campaigns.

-     Strong understanding of digital marketing strategies and tools, and best practice.

-    Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, with a love for aesthetics, great written copy and authentic engagement both online and in person.

-    Creative thinker with the ability to develop innovative marketing ideas.

-    Self-motivated with strong leadership skills and Team-Oriented, comfortable to work in a fast-paced environment.

-    Knowledge of digital marketing.
