Iconic Resourcing are delighted to be partnered with our clients based in Glasgow as they look to welcome an experienced Management Accountant to their team on a full time and permanent basis.

This role will be responsible for the group monthly management accountants and the annual statutory accounts whilst reporting into the Finance Director.

Duties and Responsibilities

• Prepare and issue accurate monthly management accounts within 3 days of month-end.
• Regularly review and sign off on bank reconciliations to ensure accurate bank transaction records.
• Prepare and post journals for fixed assets, WIP, prepayments, accruals, bad debts, and other accounting areas.
• Prepare nominal reconciliations for all balance sheet accounts to ensure accurate financial reporting.
• Conduct tax analysis for P&L accounts, prepare VAT returns, P11Ds, and PSA agreements.
• Ensure accurate coding of invoices in accounts payable and correct allocation in accounts receivable.
• Prepare audit files, manage the audit process, and resolve audit queries efficiently.
• Implement necessary financial controls to maintain a robust control environment.
• Authorise payments on the banking system within specified transaction values.
• Assist with budget preparation, development projects, and own carbon neutral reporting, ensuring strong Excel skills and experience with SAGE or SOS.

Experience

• Qualified or Qualified by Experience accountant
• Experience in preparing full management accounts and statutory accounts to trial balance.
• Experience to new systems implementation would be advantageous
• Always have an eye for continuous improvement
• Can demonstrate you are a key team player and and maximise the potential of teams
