Management Accountant in Scotland

Hutcheon Mearns have been engaged by our client in the agricultural sector to source a Management Accountant on a full time, staff basis.

This role will be based in Turriff where you will be responsible for preparing final accounts to statutory level, preparing monthly management accounts, producing management information/costings and supervising a small team.

To be considered, you will be currently working as a Management Accountant with extensive industry experience.

This role is suited to QBE Accountants who are looking for a fresh challenge in a successful, growing business.

The Opportunity

• Preparation of monthly management accounts
• Preparation of final accounts to statutory level ready for audit
• Preparation of management information and costings
• Credit Control
• Cash Flow Forecasting
• Budgeting and Variance Analysis
• Detailed analysis work and VAT Returns
• Supervision of sales and purchase Ledger data entry
• Supervision of two Accounts Assistant

Background and Experience

• QBE or Qualified Accountant
• Robust problem-solving capabilities
• Strong communications skills to ensure deadlines are met in a timely manner
• The ability to work under pressure using own initiative
• Capacity to liaise with all parts of the business and integrate with managers spread over multiple locations
