We are passionate about delivering exceptional customer experiences and are committed to maintaining a solid financial foundation. To support our expansion, we are currently seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Assistant Management Accountant to join our finance team.
As an Assistant Management Accountant at Humble Grape, you will play a pivotal role in maintaining the financial integrity of our wine and food focused business.
Main roles and responsibilities
Assist in the preparation of monthly management accounts
Conduct monthly cost reviews, analysing and reviewing direct costs against orders
Prepare weekly KPI reports
Prepare and post monthly prepayment, accrual journals
Prepare monthly balance sheet reconciliations
Review bank reconciliations and EPOS transactions
Reconcile control accounts
Reconcile bank accounts (multi-currency)Maintain fixed asset register
Prepare intercompany invoices and journals
Assist with credit control
Liaise with department heads to assist in cost management and tracking of actual spend against budget
Manage the company credit card and petty cash functions
Support the Management Accountant with ad hoc queries, analysis, and projects.
What Are We Looking for
Proven success in a similar role within a multi-site operation
Intermediate Excel skills with strong attention to detail, numerical accuracy, and analytical skills
Excellent communication skills for engaging with internal and external stakeholders both written and verbal
Willingness to learn
Experience of Xero (beneficial)
Hybrid working with some office days for meetings and collaborative work

Relaxed, understated and, crucially, run by people who don’t simply know their stuff, but are wine enthusiasts who embrace the opportunity to share their knowledge, make recommendations and showcase the beauty in each bottle.
