Questech are recruiting on behalf of our client in Leeds, West Yorkshire.This client are a fast paced food manufacturing facility and are looking to recruit anMaintenance ManagerThe Role: * Must have a Degree / Diploma/ HNC in an Engineering discipline * To lead the site Maintenance / Engineering function, providing both a reactive and pro-active, multi-skilled maintenance service on all operational equipment and facilities infrastructure and executing long-term strategic plans. * This includes ensuring that the facilities, layout and machinery used to produce new and existing materials / products run to their maximum efficiency and output. * This would be carried out by total preventative maintenance schedules and managing mechanical / electrical breakdowns. * Includes people management and capex / budgetary / cost reporting in liaison with General Manager. * Ensure that Health, Safety and Environmental requirements are adhered to as well as the procedures and documentation for the Food packaging BRC accreditation required for our customers. * Implement and manage continuous improvement and modern manufacturing principals by highlighting deficiencies and recommending changes in training, working practices and processes to aid and improve operational performance. * Develop the engineering team to improve their knowledge and skill, recommending any additional training where required. * Identify performance issues and implement appropriate and pragmatic solutions through the use of problem-solving skills, tools and techniques. * Develop a Planned Maintenance (PPM) schedule, ensuring full preventative maintenance is carried out, plan in missed maintenance activities, and lead and monitor the team to ensure delivering on time and effectively. * Assist with any breakdowns/projects when required (unplanned absence, several breakdowns at one etc.) * In consultation with the appropriate personnel, be able to correctly prioritise the workload for the overall benefit of the site performance. * Manage implementation of any new machinery within time and budget restraints, including the management of the external and internal services required for implementation. * Work as part of the Management team to share ideas and improve operations, recommending, supporting and implementing continuous improvement activities as well as process and procedures. * Attend various meetings with production and planning, communicating actions and instructions to team. * Perform root cause analysis and resolve problems quickly and cost effectively. * Conduct risk assessments of processes and tasks in the department. * Manage contractors on site and ensure they meet legal and company requirements.This role is working:Monday - Friday Days (Must be flexible to suit the business needs)The salary will be between £50,000pa - £55,000paFor more information regarding this position contact:Laura RidingQuestech Recruitment Ltd
