About the role:

We have an exciting opportunity for a Junior HR business partner to join us for a 3-month fixed term contract  starting in September 2023. This role could be ideal for someone who is currently an HR Adviser looking to step up into their first business partnering role.

You will work as a Junior HRBP on all areas of HR and will be required to support organisational change and restructure processes, give advice on HR generalist issues including sickness absence, disciplinary, grievance, performance management and capability, etc. You will hold and manage a caseload of Employee Relations (ER) cases and collaborate and liaise as appropriate with key stakeholders to develop and maintain good and effective working relationships.

To be successful as a Junior HR Business Partner you'll have:

  • Hold or working towards Associate Member of the Chartered Institute of Personnel & Development (MCIPD) Level 5 or equivalent experience.
  • Experience of working in a blended HR advisory, or business partnering model dealing with a broad range of strategic, transactional, and operational HR issues within a professional membership organisation, public and/or charity sector organisation.
  • Significant and relevant experience working in HR advising managers on a broad range of HR generalist issues including sickness absence, disciplinary, grievance, performance management and capability, organisational change, consultation, and restructure processes.
  • Good working knowledge of HR policies, procedures, HR best practice and current employment legislation.
  • Strong understanding of HRIS/payroll information systems
  • Good communication, verbal, written and organisational skills.
  • Outstanding interpersonal skills, demonstrating an ability to build and develop productive working relations with key stakeholders, managers, leaders, colleagues, trade union representatives.
  • Ability to run, evaluate and present workforce management information reports for HR Metrics reporting.
