this is a 6 month Inside IR 35 contract opening - Local to Birmingham, England.
Insight Global is looking for a Sr React Developer to join one of the largest financial services clients located in Birmingham for a 6 month ongoing contract. The chosen candidate will be sitting in the loans engineering group and sitting specifically within their shared services pillars. What this means is that the chosen candidate will be working on a variety of projects focused on 2 main areas. The first would be focused on building out new UI in React for their various applications based on the design of the UX team (I.e. uplifting old non-web based UI and replacing it with new react UI and changing the technology around it). This will take up 50-70% of their time. The second part will be focused on their foundational charter mandate which is to define and promote standards and best practices for UI dev across the team. This will take up 30 - 50% of their time. This role is an onsite role and requires 5 days/week in office.
Applicants should apply, if they meet the following:
- Proven experience with React, Vue, or Angular
- Strong foundation in TDD and automated testing with Jest or Vitest
- Strong foundation in JavaScript, HTML, and CSS
- Familiarity with JavaScript libraries: Axios, fetch, Lodash, JS array functions
- Team player, self-starter, and problem solver
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Experience working in an Agile environment
- Experience working in an enterprise environment
- Bachelor degree or higher in Computer Science or related engineering field
This position is within the daily range of £500-600/Daily Inside IR 35.
