Purpose of the role

As an IT Support Administrator, based in Manchester, you'll ensure smooth IT operations, supporting our workforce with tools like Salesforce, Microsoft Suite, and Microsoft Teams. Reporting to the Marketing Director, you will support employees throughout their lifecycle. You’ll be able to troubleshoot technical issues, manage resources, and implement solutions for enhanced productivity. Your expertise will maintain system integrity, support end-users, and drive technological improvements, contributing to NPGs efficiency and growth in a competitive market.

Responsibilities

  • Provide technical installation and support from start to finish of the employee lifecycle.
  • Ensuring prompt resolution of hardware, software, and network issues.
  • Manage and maintain IT resources including servers, networks, databases, and backend website infrastructure.
  • Install, configure, and maintain software applications such as Salesforce, Microsoft Suite, Microsoft Teams etc.
  • Ensure the security and integrity of IT systems and data, implementing necessary security measures.
  • Collaborate on backend website development, including coding, scripting, and database management tasks.
  • Monitor system performance, identify areas for improvement, and implement solutions to enhance efficiency and reliability.
  • Develop and maintain relevant IT policies and documentation, conduct user training sessions, and promote IT literacy and best practices.
  • Stay updated on emerging technologies, recommending innovative solutions to support organisational objectives.
  • Collaborate with external vendors and service providers to resolve technical issues and meet service level agreements.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree or relevant qualification in Computer Science, IT, or related field.
  • Proven experience in IT support, system administration, and backend website development.
  • Proficiency with tools such as Salesforce, Microsoft Suite, and Microsoft Teams.
  • Strong troubleshooting skills and ability to resolve technical issues efficiently.
  • Knowledge of security best practices and experience implementing security measures.
  • Familiarity with emerging technologies and industry trends.
  • Relevant certifications (e.g., CompTIA A+, Microsoft Certified IT Professional) are a plus.
