Kenton Black Finance are exclusively supporting a client within the Education sector who require interim management accounting support until the end of December 2024. A longer-term or permanent post may become available after this time, due to significant and ongoing growth.

Alongside strong management accounting and reporting capabilities, an analytical and inquisitive mindset is vital as you will be required to analyse variances and present financial insight and advice where required.

Your New Role as Interim Management Accountant:

Reporting to the CFO, as Interim Management Accountant specific responsibilities will include:

•Coordination of month end close down processes
•Produce timely and accurate management accounting reports
•Assist with budget setting and monitoring
•Assist with the production of annual financial statements
•Posting accruals, prepayments and adjustments
•Production of monthly reconciliations
•Analysis of variances
•Support continual improvement initiatives relating to systems, procedures and controls

Experience & Qualifications Required to Apply:

The successful candidate will have proven ability to quickly pick up new systems and processes and be comfortable working under own supervision. Experienced in a similar management accounting role, you will have strong analytical capabilities with good systems skills including Excel. Experience within the Education sector is hugely desirable but not essential and you will be available to begin working at fairly short notice.
