Income Officer – 3 Month Contract – Inside IR35 - £17-£20 Per Hour – Lancashire – Social HousingSocial Housing Recruitment is working with a housing association based in Lancashire to recruit an Income Officer to join their income recovery team on a 3-month contract basis.

The role will be supporting the team with the existing workload reporting to one of two Team Leaders within the team.

The role is office-based 5 days a week with flexibility for homeworking when needed within reason.

The successful Income Officer will be responsibilities: * Collect rents and charges from tenants in accordance with lease agreements, policies and procedures ensuring timely payments.

* Manage a portfolio of rent accounts across a portion of the region covered by the organisation.

* Analyse arrears reports and escalate serious issues promptly to management.

* Keep accurate records of all communication and actions regarding tenant accounts.

* Address tenant queries providing advice and assistance to them around paying bills, budgeting, as well as housing benefits assistance.

* Identify late payers and escalate as needed, following debt recovery procedures.

* Reconcile tenant ledgers and issue final letters as necessary.

* Prepare documentation for enforcement agents/solicitors as requested.

* Attend arrears meetings with property managers and clients.

The successful Income Officer will have: * Previous experience in credit control, preferably in social housing income recovery.

* Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to remain calm in difficult situations.

* Attention to detail and ability to work under pressure while managing competing demands.

* Flexibility and a proactive approach, able to work autonomously or as part of a team.

* Proficiency in IT applications for digital communication.
