Income Assistant£18,594 per annumChelmsford, EssexPermanentPart Time - 22.

2 hours per week - Mondays, Tuesdays and WednesdaysWhat you'll be doingWe are looking for an Income Assistant to undertake management of the direct debit process and rent verifications via the Universal Credit portal with the aim of supporting customers and sustain their tenancies.

* Daily management of the Direct Debit (DD) process, including creating and sending files for collection to BACS.

* Proactively chasing customers that will not have a clear rent balance by year end due to failed DDs.

* Year end DD management.

* Verification of rent for customers claiming UC through both the UC portal and paper forms.

* Make affordable sustainable arrangements with customers based on their ability to pay and monitor these to ensure adherence.

What we're looking for * Evidence of attainment of good literacy and numeracy, eg, through GCSEs or equivalent) or equivalent demonstrable prior learning.

* Evidence of competence in administrative processes * Experience in database management/record systems and developing knowledge of further applications * Experience of working in a customer facing role with proven ability to deal with customers.

* Excellent organisations skills with the ability to take a flexible approach in managing conflicting priorities under pressure.

* Strong IT skills and experience of using a range of ICT systems.
