Due to continued growth, we have a newly created HR Operations Team Leader role, to join us at our Gaydon HQ.

Reporting to the HR Operations Manager, this role will manage a small team of HR administrators to ensure the provision of an efficient and effective HR service. This will include administering the end-to-end employee lifecycle, from hire to retire. This is a hands-on operational role where you’ll actively participate in administrative tasks alongside the team.

You’ll be tasked with overseeing and evaluating HR administration SLAs to ensure the team adheres to the agreed service levels. Your daily responsibilities will involve strategizing the HR Administration team's activities and delegating tasks and projects to team members.

Your remit as the HR Operations Team Leader is to oversee the administration of all relevant HR systems, including processing new starters, contract amendments, and maintaining accurate employee records. You will also manage confidential information with discretion and integrity, ensuring that all HR processes run smoothly. You’ll hold regular team meetings to tackle challenges, pre-empt any issues, and put in action plans for any issues that do arise.

The role will provide the key link between the other areas of the HR Team, working with Payroll, TA, and HRBP teams to provide a seamless employee journey for all our employees (regardless of where they are based in the world).

You’ll have exceptional communication skills and the confidence to challenge and persuade where required. You’ll have excellent time management and organisational skills as you’ll be working to multiple ever-changing priorities/deadlines. You’ll be highly proficient in Microsoft Office: Word, Excel, and PowerPoint

The Key Requirements...

  • Worked in HR shared service environment.
  • Managed a small team.
  • Managed workloads (delegating work and monitoring output)
  • Solid understanding of HR principles, practices, and regulations.
  • Proficiency in HR systems, databases, processes, and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Strong administration and organisational skills
  • Exceptional attention to detail and a commitment to accuracy.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information with discretion.
  • This is a full-time hybrid role working Monday – Thursday 8 – 5 and Friday 8 -1, with the expectation to be in the Gaydon office 3 days a week.
