We're committed to ensuring all our colleagues have development plans and strive to provide inspiring leadership - in fact, in the past year we've seen an 11% increase in the number of colleagues who would recommend Greencore as a place to work.Join us and be part of our great team!Role PurposeTo partner with business leaders and line managers to develop capability and manage talent to enable achievement of strategic priorities.Key AccountabilitiesLead the People added value, transactional, ethical and compliance agenda/activity to ensure the required standards are achievedPartner with the leadership team to ensure the right development and succession planning is in place and being used to achieve the strategic prioritiesProvide developmental support, coaching and direction to line managers to ensure colleagues perform to expected results, and that clear guidance is given on approaches to building capabilityWork with functional leads, enabling line managers to drive accountability at the appropriate level and supports the managers to achieve thisInterpret HR Policy, support, train and coach managers in the practical implementation of HR practice and employment legislation to ensure compliance and consistencyProvide a professional advisory service that gives effective solutions to people issues ensuring a balance between individual and business needsLead the regular review, planning and activation of labour needs and utilisation in line with business needs over the short to long termEngage with all relevant trade unions or colleague representatives on matters relating to Terms and Conditions, negotiations and general consultationsProvide leadership and direction to the HR team to ensure that people are engaged, focused and delivering their potentialDrive the site colleague engagement agenda by ensuring the implementation of The Greencore Way, delivery of The Greencore Way Awards and the People at the Core SurveyIndicative Scale and ScopeSite Turnover - £15m - £220mHead count (including average agency) - (Apply online only)Single manufacturing unit or up to 10 distribution unitsKnowledge, Skills and ExperienceCIPD qualified (MCIPD/FCIPD)Proven experience in HR leadership, ideally within a multi-functional manufacturing environmentUp to date knowledge of employment legislationProactive, organised and able to work flexibly in order to meet deadlines and have the drive to deliver resultsIntermediate knowledge of Microsoft Office applications: Word, Excel, and PowerPointAbility to engage and give added value informationExperience working with a diverse workforce and having led and developed teamsThese may be trained or developed.
