Housing Services Manager in Coventry

You will be responsible for a new service where you will oversee the day to day management of the accommodation services and a number of dispersed properties within the community.

You will be responsible for setting up, developing and managing of our hostel services and dispersed accommodation within the Coventry area. You will be responsible for staff management, including day and night staff, and development responsibility for the services operating across Coventry. The aim of the services is to actively enable vulnerable adults to live healthy, happy independent lives within communities through early targeted prevention,personalised support and partnership working.

Responsibilities:

*Including but not limited to

• Supporting teams and agencies to implement pragmatic problem solving, unblock barriers and facilitating access into various services to reduce and improve choice and control
• Create and manage the development of effective professional relationships, with external partners – such as local authority teams, and community organisations who can add value to the work we do.
• To be responsible for assessments of the sites and void management across the services.
• Responsibility for staff management and development of staff including recruitment, supervisions, training, absence and performance/disciplinary management
• To oversee the effective transition and resettlement plans for service users leaving or moving on from the service into independent accommodation.
• To keep accurate records in line with the organisation’s policies and procedures.

Requirements:

• NVQ level 4 in Leadership and Management is desirable (or NVQ Level 4 in Health and Social Care) achieved or working towards  
• Experience working with homeless people and within the housing sector
• Experience of managing services for vulnerable people
