Educated Appointments are delighted to be supporting an Ofsted rated 'GOOD' college, who have an exciting opportunity for a Lecturer Health & Social Care to join our team at our Cambridge Campus.You will join us on a full-time time basis and in return you will receive a competitive salary plus generous staff benefits package.Our client boasts specialist vocational facilities in a range of areas from engineering, construction, science to catering, hospitality and hair and beauty.Main PurposeThe Department is looking to recruit a lecturer with a health background to teach across our L2 and L3 Health and Social Care programmes including the new T-level in Health Science planned for 2025.Provide high quality teaching and access to learning in addition to undertaking associated course lead and tutorial duties. It is expected that the post holder will contribute to course design, development of programmes and the expansion of the area generally.The successful candidate will also be a course leader for one or more programmes.Agile workingThe role is primarily face to face but we do offer agile working on a case by case basis depending on personal circumstances and business need.Responsibilities * Deliver inspirational teaching and access to learning across a range of programmes. * Provide teaching and assessment opportunities in line with the relevant awarding organisation requirements to promote access to achievement. * Provide and maintain teaching materials on the VLE and other online platforms * Prepare Schemes of Work and Schemes of Assessment. * Undertake the necessary administrative tasks required for the effective operation of programmes in the area * Carry out standardisation/ assessment and internal quality assurance. * Undertake tutorial responsibilities. * Assist in the recruitment and admission of new students * Team administration, liaison and development * Professional development and industrial links * Undertake health and safety duties and responsibilities as appropriate to the post. * To actively advance equality of opportunity and foster good relations within the College community. * To adhere to College equal opportunities policies, procedures and practicesWhat we are looking for in our role:The ideal applicant will have experience in teaching and assessing Health and Social Care programmes or Health Science subjects with relevant occupational competency and experience working in the Health sector.They will be passionate about their subject and inspirational to learners with the ability to generate creative teaching and learning materials, along with good organisational and time-management skills.Relevant degree or equivalent professional qualifications or industry experience with a full teaching qualification (Cert Ed, PGCE, DTLS) is required for the role.
