Dandara Living is hiring a Helath & Safety Advisor to join our busy and dynamic proprty management division.About the roleThe HSE Advisor needs to be able to apply proactive HSE compliance to a variety of operations with a vision of continual improvement. The role will be countrywide so travel and overnight stays may be required and will involve working with a variety of stakeholders, contractors, and agencies. The HSE Advisor will be the first point of call for all health & safety queries or concerns on site, so it is essential that they have a clear understanding of build-to-rent regulations/legislation.LocationThis role will predominantly be based on site of 'Chapel Wharf', located in the heart of Salford, the largest built development so far. However, you will be required to visit sites in Birmingham, Leeds and Scotland too. There will also be opportunities for some weekly home working days too. Please note, you may also be required to support in visiting sites that are under construction.What you will doCarry out Site SHE inspections across each site and arrange remedial actions with the site teams. Actively promote, influence, implement and monitor the SHE procedures and their effectiveness. To proactively support and work with the Site management team in a continual improvement of HSE on sites.  Review, implement, monitor and standardise H&S procedures across the business. To investigate accident incidents and near misses and undertake root cause analysis of any incidents and identify any improvements and trends. Review RA/MS, COSHH assessments and any other documentation when required. Review supplier Pre-Qualification Questionnaires (PQQ) where required. Highlight trends within the company and allow improvements to be implemented across the business. To develop and present training materials, presentations, or other media to assist in the promotion of HSE compliance and good practice across the Dandara Living division. Liaise with local authorities, Other HSE advisors and HSE where required. Arrange all monthly internal Health & Safety meetings and collate KPIS for the Board report. Ensure general H&S compliance elements are completed such as DSE, Health surveillance is reviewed and completed. To keep up to date with all current legislation and keep all site management up to date with any changes as required. Implement new systems, processes and procedures as required to ensure Health and Safety regulations are being adhered to. To provide support and guide the HSE administrators in their role within the business.What you will haveDesiredTraining qualificationEssentialHealth and Safety experience in a build-to-rent, student accomodation or hospitality environment NEBOSH/ NCRQ or equivelant qualifications H&S procedure implementation experience (ISO 45001, 14001 etc) Internal Auditing qualification A Proactive hands-on approach to guiding and or encouraging continual improvement of HSE across the Dandara Group. Good MS Office skills including Word, Excel and PowerPoint.
