ROLE:  Head of Training & Development

HOURS: 40 per week, Monday to Friday

SALARY: up to £70,000 basic, plus car, bonus, private healthcare, life assurance and more

We are delighted to be growing our People Team and have a requirement for a talented Head of Training and Development to lead our Training and Development Team, oversee and guide the successful delivery of the T&D streams and agenda of our People Plan, and be an essential SME in their contribution to our wider company strategy.

This role provides a credible interface to senior executives and the other facets of our people team in order to deliver our People Plan, and the successful candidate will act as a conduit between our T&D function and the wider teams, including our Exec Stakeholders. Applicants should be able to competently design. lead, deliver, and own Leadership Development Programmes, providing functional SME expertise and have a broad understanding of Apprenticeship Levy Management.

This is a pivotal role in our Senior Management Team, reporting directly into our People Director, and this opportunity provides a rare opportunity to join a thriving Plc and enhance and drive forward a successful and highly regarded team and function.

WHAT OUR HEAD OF TRAINING AND DEVELOPMENT WILL DO:

  • Ensure that our T&D offering provides a meaningful contribution to our People Plan
  • Review 'T&D As Is' strategy and agenda, and lead on the design of the prioritised 'To Be' based on your professional recommendations
  • Own all aspects of the design, delivery, and maintenance of the Eurocell Training & Development Plan, and all T&D activity included in our People Plan
  • Develop Portfolio, Programme, and Project streams to manage the needs of our strategic objectives
  • Lead, develop, and empower a thriving T&D / L&D Team with c10 direct reports, and dotted lines into other teams
  • Effective management of a large Training & Development budget
  • Oversee the end to end design and delivery of strategic learning partnerships and pathways at Exec level
  • Ownership and effective utilisation of a large Apprenticeship Levy fund

WHAT WE NEED FROM OUR HEAD OF TRAINING AND DEVELOPMENT :

  • Previous experience of leading a T&D Team within a fast paced environment

  • Experience with leveraging technologies and LMS functionality, and designing creative, engaging and effective T&D interventions

  • Previous experience of designing and delivering senior Leadership Programmes

  • A broad understanding of the Apprenticeship Levy

  • Previous exposure to Graduate and Apprenticeship programmes

  • Strong stakeholder management and influencing skills, with gravitas at Exec level

  • Excellent leadership capabilities
