We are looking for an experienced and highly technical head of engineering to fill a key role in our engineering team. As part of this role you will have the autonomy to define, develop a team and solutions that push the boundaries of technology in the healthcare space.

You will leverage the latest technologies overcoming a variety of data and engineering challenges to allow our carers to administer care that is vitally important. Role and responsibilities

• As the head of engineering you will have responsibility for over 40 engineers, offering them architectural and design guidance in all engineering matters as well as their own personal growth.
• Help mature the engineering communities of practice
• Help define and shape the technical strategy and roadmap.
• Collaborate with product and delivery managers to help execute on the product road map and ensure successful delivery of our product without compromising on quality.
• Remain hands on and empower the team to advance and accomplish an ambitious technical roadmap.
• Working as part of the engineering leadership team, the role will involve guiding and working with the delivery teams to create the solutions that match the business ambitions. Ensuring that Cera is at the forefront of the latest technologies.
• Working closely with business stakeholders at all levels to ensure that the solution identified is fully understood and aligned to the business needs.
• Plan and reach our target architecture of microservices, using the latest patterns and practices.
• You will be contributing to the company's development process and best practices. You will also have line management responsibility, coach and mentor the team to help with their growth and development.

Skills and Experience

The successful candidate will have experience building and leading engineering teams, both in house and external. You should be able to facilitate technical discussions and work directly with teams to deliver the best outcomes.

Key Skills

● Recruiting, leading and motivating the development teams, including line management

● Experience in leading and maintaining relationships in a diverse, globally distributed team

● Experience with cloud technologies such as AWS, GCP and Azure

● Experience with Microservices and Event driven architecture

• Serverless technologies such as AWS Lambda, Strong .Net Core & C#
• Development best practices including SOLID Principles and Design Patterns
• To be a self-starter, bringing your own creativity, enthusiasm and real world problem-solving to a highly motivated team #
• Stakeholder management
• Strong communications and presentation skills, with the ability to share knowledge and educate others within the business.
• Represent the engineering team across the business
