We’re searching for a Head of Business Development in London  to join our team of free thinkers and collaborators.

In this role, you will be accountable for the development, planning and successful delivery of edyn’s business development strategy and revenue targets, across the UK, Ireland and Europe. You will work collaboratively with our close to property and on property sales teams to support asset level budgeted revenue delivery across all B2B customer segments. You will lead, define and implement our domestic and international business customer acquisition strategy to grow sales and achieve budgeted B2B revenue targets

A role less ordinary.

  • Define and lead the business development sales strategy for our direct corporate, GDS and Groups channels in order to deliver budgeted B2B room nights and revenue
  • Focus on change management and performance to build and maintain rigour and discipline into the Business Development function
  • Visibly lead, manage and develop a highly engaged and high performing Business Development Team to develop and deliver the plans needed to achieve revenue targets
  • Recruit and develop high calibre sales team members who are resilient, tenacious, outcome focused and imbibe our values
  • Take responsibility for defining and delivering new business targets and coaching the Business Development Team to deliver revenue in line with these
  • Guide the Business Development Team to sell our proposition effectively and negotiate commercial agreements to ensure customers adopt edyn as a preferred supplier using persuasive sales techniques, insight and analysis
  • Play a lead role in shaping the future of our business customer products; work with the Distribution, IT and Digital teams to optimise and develop our platforms to win new customers, and improve the customer journey to increase conversion to spend and booking frequency
  • Who you are.

  • Significant B2B sales experience with a strong track record of delivering sales growth through new customer acquisition in the hospitality industry is highly desirable
  • Experience of leading and managing teams and driving sales performance in a fast moving, challenging and multi-channel environment
  • Demonstrable experience of successfully developing and implementing a B2B business development strategy across an organisation
  • Successful track record of working in collaboration with and as part of senior leadership teams with excellent communications and relationship building skills
  • Able to operationalise strategic plans into tangible, sustainable results
  • Detail focussed and analytical, strong organisational and prioritisation skills, commercially aware, numerate with the ability to identify opportunities.
  • Comfortable operating in a matrix organisation and delivering through others as part of a shared vision
  • A high performing, results driven individual who is passionate about delivering commercial targets
