We are seeking a talented individual to manage the delivery of the Annual Report and other external reporting requirements, including financial aspects of ESG. As the Group Reporting Manager, you will be the technical lead, ensuring compliance with accounting and regulatory updates and drive ongoing improvements in the group financial policies and controls. 

Role and Responsibilities

Reporting:

  • Project managing the preparation of the Annual (and Interim) Report, liaising with the relevant departments on the preparation of information for the Annual Report, ensuring accuracy and compliance with accounting standards and other relevant guidance and completion within agreed deadlines.
  • Responsible for ensuring fair, balanced and understandable reporting throughout the Annual Report and lead the external audit of the report.
  • Manage the production of local statutory accounts for UK subsidiary entities.
  • Finance lead for ESG reporting, drafting the relevant sections in the Annual Report, in conjunction with the Groups ESG team. Leading the provision of financial information to fulfil ESG regulatory reporting requirements and accreditations obtained by the Group.
  • Working alongside the F,P&A team to deliver effective and efficient internal reporting.
  • Coordinate other regulatory reporting compliance.

Technical Accounting:

  • Interpret, provide guidance on, and apply IFRS accounting standards to complex transactions affecting the Group and its subsidiaries.
  • Stay updated on accounting pronouncements, regulatory updates, and emerging issues, assessing their impact on the organisation and the Group’s reporting requirements. Manage the implementation of resulting changes, train the wider Finance team and coordinate with the external audit team.
  • Draft technical accounting papers, and input into those required for the Audit Committee
  • Delivery of IFRS 2 share-based payment compensation workings, including forecasting and valuations of new grants.
  • Perform impairment reviews where applicable including preparation of Committee papers to support analysis performed.

Group policies and controls:

  • Manage the group accounting policy and procedure documents, ensuring compliance across the Group and timely updates for new standards.
  • Responsible for finance Risk and Controls Matrix (RACM), ensuring strong processes and best practice controls are in place and actively monitored across all areas of statutory and financial reporting, driving improved accuracy and efficiency.

Other :

  • Provide support to the Group Financial Controller and Financial Controller as required. This role is part of the Group Finance team, and is likely to provide opportunities for exposure to wider Finance accounting areas (as appropriate).

Your experience

Our ideal candidate will have strong technical knowledge of IFRS, ESG and external reporting requirements for listed companies. You will have excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills with a keen eye for detail. We are looking for someone with the ability to communicate effectively and succinctly across stakeholder groups and drive adherence to deadlines. A professional accounting qualification (ACA, ACCA, CIMA or equivalent) is essential for this role. 

We are eager to engage with candidates who possess knowledge of PLC accounts, particularly those from top 10 audit firms, or those who have experience of working in large/multinational companies.
