The Opportunity:

Finatal is partnered with a highly acquisitive business service provider, with a large fixed asset register. They will be going through a Private Equity exit in the short-term and are looking for a technically strong, detail oriented Group Reporting Manager to

Reporting to the Group Financial Controller, this role is a unique opportunity to provide technical expertise on complex accounting issues and ensure the accurate and timely production of monthly, quarterly, and annual statutory consolidated numbers.

This role is ideal for someone with an audit background and 3+ years of post-qualification experience in a similar technical group reporting role.

Role:

• Provide guidance on and apply IFRS and UK GAAP accounting standards to complex transactions affecting the Group and its subsidiaries.
• Stay updated on accounting pronouncements, regulatory updates, and emerging issues, assessing their impact on the organization and the Group’s reporting requirements.
• Draft technical accounting papers and maintain the group accounting policies document to ensure compliance across the Group.
• Advise Group and subsidiary finance teams and the wider business on technical accounting matters. Support the FP&A team in technical accounting for budgeting and forecasting purposes.
• Work with external advisors, including auditors, on accounting matters as needed. Support the implementation of new accounting standards and regulatory changes.
• Play a key role in producing the Group’s consolidated statutory accounts, ensuring ongoing compliance with relevant accounting standards and disclosure requirements.
• Serve as the primary contact for Group auditors during the year-end audit.
• Manage the Group’s intercompany reconciliation process.
• Support the accounting and reporting processes for Head Office entities. Manage the production of local statutory accounts for Head Office entities.
• Assist in drafting financial and covenant reporting related to external facilities.
• Support the management and development of the Onestream reporting software.
• Provide ad hoc support to the Group Financial Controller as required.

Requirements:

• 1+ years PQE with relevant experience in the Group Reporting team of a large Group organization.
• Experience working in a PE-backed business is desirable.
• Experience using Netsuite is desirable.
• Highly organized with the ability to manage multiple concurrent workstreams.
• Excellent analytical skills with the ability to research and interpret accounting guidance.
• Strong communication and influencing skills, capable of working with colleagues across different functions and locations.
• Detail-oriented approach with a focus on accuracy and compliance.
• Outstanding problem-solving skills and a resilient, can-do attitude.
• Relevant experience in the Group Reporting team of a complex organization.
• Experience working with a fixed asset register and leases is desirable.
