We have an exciting opportunity for an experienced Group ComplianceManager to join our team. The role is a key stakeholder in our 5 year plan toensure as a group we remain compliant while delivering for our shareholders.  This is based at our Head Office in Quorum Business Park,Newcastle Upon Tyne.

We are looking for a forward- thinking compliance manager, withexperience of the role that can translate the relevant parts of that experience into our teamand working culture. Candidates should understand the importance of managing ateam and maintaining a high standard of compliance in all that we do along witha fundamental understanding of consolidated account statements and month endreview processes. The role will be responsible for managing the relationship withour external auditors along with ownership of all group external reporting andtax submissions.

                   Responsibilities & Duties    

• Lead the Externalcompliance team & oversee all tasks under their ownership
• Set up and own amonthly statutory consolidation preparation to compare against internalaccounts.
• Own therelationship with the external auditor and lead the audit within ICG to ensuretimely close out and RFT responses.
• Overall BalanceSheet owner, leading a monthly internal review with Senior Finance Managersincluding Accrual & Prepayment ownership.
• Finance BusinessPartner to a portion of our Operations team, conducting budget reviews &ensuring compliance across the wider business.
• Responsible forall external reporting ensuring RFT and on time submissions
• Cashflowownership ensuring all accounts are funded in accordance to their requirementsand looking for ways to improve accuracy and efficiency.
• Compliance toBanking Covenants
• Primary review ofsingle entity month end management accounts ahead of group review
• SME for Sage 200– driving scalable processes and embracing technology to drive efficiency.
• Key player in ourLegal Entity simplification project.
• Ensuringcompliance and report for acquisitions and divestitures within the group.
• Establishinternal controls reporting and set up processes to ensure we’re Ever AuditReady
• Bank Interestmanagement.

  Required Skills

• Fully Qualified ACCA or equivalent
• Passion for Controls and compliance
• Consolidation and accounting excellence   
• Strong analytical andproblem solving skills   
• Excellent interpersonal and communicationskills and the ability to relate to a wide range of people of all levels andbuild trust    Strong Personal leadership and time managementskills
• Experience of Cashflow management.
•   Advanced Excel
• Ability to adapt and prioritise to changingbusiness needs.
