Furniture DesignerKeighley area, bespoke Joinery, interesting projects£35k dependent on experienceHigh-end furniture and joinery manufacturers seek a creative designer with extensive experience working on bespoke products.You will work on full design projects from conception to installation ensuring project scope, quality, cost and customer satisfaction.As the Designer you will:Work on interesting and challenging bespoke projects supplying to the domestic and commercial industriesInterpret client drawings and discuss requirements and potential changes and problems to ensure they meet specifications and visionWork closely with manufacturing ensuring products meet specifications and troubleshooting as requiredManage your own projects from conception to deliveryProduce as built drawings, design for manufacture and sit drawings for installationWork to set project deadlinesWorking in Rhino and SolidWorksAttend client review meetingsEnsure all designs, drawings and documents are saved in the product filesEnsure material availability, issue cutting lists and production packs for manufacturingAs the Designer you will:Have confident experience of producing designs for bespoke furniture of similar productsBe familiar with a range of 3D design software such as SolidWorks, AutoCAD, Adobe Creative Suit or RhinoHold a relevant qualification in interior, production engineering design Have a proven background in managing your own projectsBe familiar with design for manufactureHave a strong understanding of joinery techniques and material limitationsBe a great communicator able to deal directly with clientsBe familiar with Working in a targeted production environmentThe role may suit someone who has worked on the shop floor ideally within bench joinery and progressed into a Design role.
