Financial Reporting Accountant in Dukinfield

Sinclair is seeking a dedicated Financial Reporting Accountant to join our central finance team for a 12-15 month maternity cover.

This role presents a fantastic opportunity to coordinate and lead key financial reporting activities for our UK companies and selected overseas subsidiaries.

Location: Hybrid working 3 days in the office 2 at home, Lakeside, Chester Business Park, Cheshire, CH4 9QT

Description

• Chartered accountant with expertise in IFRS and financial statement preparation.

• Experience in large, international group settings.

• Background as a financial accountant in the industry.

• Strong relationship-building skills, with cultural awareness for working with overseas colleagues.

• Adaptable and resilient in a growing company.

• Self-motivated, able to manage multiple tasks in a small team.

• Proficient in Excel.

• Understanding of complex business processes and their financial impacts.

• Basic knowledge of corporation tax and VAT.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform group consolidation for 40 entities, ensuring IFRS compliance.

• Complete three overseas sub-consolidations.

• Prepare group monthly management accounts and performance analysis.

• Reconcile group accounts and intercompany balances.

• Maintain specific balance sheet areas with timely reconciliations.

Group Compliance:

• Prepare year-end statutory accounts (IFRS) for the group and UK subsidiaries.

• Assist in managing the year-end audit process.

• Prepare statutory accounts for certain overseas subsidiaries.

• Ensure consistent accounting across all subsidiaries.

• Develop and enforce Group Accounting Policies.

• Help implement a robust financial control framework.

• Assist with tax return completion.

Other Duties:

• Produce financial reports for Group's owners, directors, and other departments.

• Support business development and acquisitions.

• Conduct ad-hoc commercial and operational analysis.
