Global Accounting Network are partnered with a Oil & Gas and Renewable Energy company to find a newly qualified Financial Accountant to join their team.
This is a very broad accounting role covering reporting, tax, process improvement, project management for their new renewable energy plant, hedge accounting, accounting for long term plans and much more. You will also be working with the Head of FP&A to analyse project costs against budgets and capitalised costs.
The Role:
- Assist with the preparation of statutory financial statements
- Assist in the half year and year end reporting process
- Accounting for renewable energy projects under the supervision of the FP&A manager
- Analysis of project costs
- Analysis of capitalised costs
- Accounting for oil hedge FX
- Accounting for the Group’s Long Term Incentive Plans
- Process implementations and improvements
The Person:
- ACA qualified from a Top 20 practice or ACCA qualified from an Oil and Gas industry
- Driven, motivated, self-starter who can work independently
- A strong working knowledge of IFRS is essential
- Proven experience of statutory accounting
Salary: £50K + 25% bonus + healthcare + 7.5% pension contribution + other benefits
Location: Remote (offices for use if needed)
