Financial Accountant in Stanmore

We are urgently seeking a qualified/part qualified Accountant to join a school in North West London on a 9 month FTC. This is a full time role, working on site, 40 hours per week. You will report directly to the Finance Director and work alongside another Management Accountant providing additional support to the Finance Team. It is a varied role and will suit a well-qualified, enthusiastic and adaptable team player.Main Duties * Support with the audit process and prepare all necessary working papers and audit file. * Produce and update balance sheet reconciliations. * Ensure accurate annual and monthly recording and reporting of transactions, including posting of relevant journals, including prepayments and accruals. * Preparation of monthly management accounts and variance analysis. * Assist with the preparation and posting of the monthly payroll and provide support, as necessary. * Produce salary analyses and benchmarking as required, including HR snapshots and KPIs. * Monitor FTEs and headcount reporting. * Support with the purchase ordering system, ensuring that appropriate processes are followed and authorisations are obtained. * Assist with the general day-to-day tasks of the finance function where required, including but not limited to, processing payments, reconciling debtors and creditors and outstanding debtor reviews. * Other duties as may reasonably be expected.Qualifications & Experience * Qualified or partly qualified ACA/CIMA/ACCA * Experience with accounts preparation * Experience of VAT and corporation tax * Strong reconciliation skills * SAGE 200, Power BI * Intermediate Excel Skills * School experience desirableTwentyFour Recruitment is an equal-opportunity employer.
