Financial Accountant in Shore

Equifind are working with a fast growth venture capital business based in in Soho who are looking for a Financial Accountant to join the team.

Currently the finance function consists of a Finance Director, and this will be the second hire into the team. Ultimately bringing an incredibly varied role split across financial reporting, management accounts, budgeting & forecasting, implementing systems, acquisition work and working across the portfolio. They're a super nimble business with 15 heads in the firm, and are looking to make more key hires over the remainder of the year.

It's a very exciting prospect for someone recently qualified who's looking for a broad role, where no two days are the same, and you get to be involved in commercial decisions!

Key deliverables include:

· Ownership of the month end close and reporting cycle for a portfolio of businesses

· Preparation and review of month end balance sheet reconciliations

· Preparation and control of monthly management information

· Compiling monthly business reviews for board level including presentation

· Review and management of work performed by an off-shore finance department

· Preparation of annual financial and ownership of the year end audit process

· Preparation of period regulatory returns and ongoing monitoring of regulatory compliance as required

· Preparation of VAT, Corporate Tax and any other tax returns

· Assisting finance team with integrations of new acquisitions

· Driving continuous process improvement and efficiencies

· Lead of project work as and when required

· Review and preparation of regular cash forecasting requirements

Application Criteria:

· ACA or CA qualified

· Posses a minimum of 0-1 years post qualified

· Financial services experience, or a strong desire to enter financial services

· Ability to work under pressure in a fast-growing environment

· Strong communication skills

Compensation:

· £60-70,000 base salary

· Annual performance related bonus

· Employer pension contribution

· 25 days annual leave
