What You'll Do
Working with the Financial Control Team in leading the monthly close process for the European operations of the Pixel United, primarily Product Madness UK and its subsidiaries in Poland, Spain, Ukraine, Israel, France and Finland.
Posting of journals to high level of accuracy.
Maintaining, analysing, owning, and improving the monthly balance sheet reconciliations.
Performing bank reconciliations and accounting for foreign exchange differences.
Owning and managing the fixed asset register, including accounting for additions, disposals, and depreciation.
Owning and managing the prepayments and accruals ledger and liaising with the wider business to ensure these ledgers are accurate and complete.
Maintaining a high standard of reporting and financial analysis for both local management and corporate stakeholders
Posting and reviewing monthly payroll to ensure its accuracy and completeness.
Working closely with the Accounts Payable team, reviewing, and approving weekly payments.
Maintaining, identifying, and building robust financial control processes and procedures.
Providing support on all Corporate led projects and System Implementations.
Holding a key role in year-end audits and statutory accounts preparation for Product Madness UK, in accordance with FRS 101.
Other Ad Hoc tasks such as dealing with tax queries, surveys, actioning intercompany recharges and many others.
What We're Looking For
Qualified Accountant (ACA/ACCA/CIMA or equivalent).
Strong technical accounting, reporting and reconciliation skills.
Experience of month-end closing and reporting is required.
A knowledge of Intangible Assets (IAS 38) and Leases (IFRS 16) is required.
A “can do” mindset, adaptable and flexible.
System skills: Strong Excel skills. Ideally Microsoft Dynamics 365, Concur and TM1.
Ability to hit the ground running and to work independently.
Strong problem solving and analytical skills; must be able to partner effectively with all levels of the organisation.
A self-starting individual, initiating action without the need to be prompted by others.
Constantly looking to challenge and improve existing processes.
