We’re looking for a Financial Accountant to join our Head Office team in Kings Hill, Kent, on a 6 month contract, with the possibility to extend

We're seeking a skilled Group Technical Accountant to join our Westfalia Fruit International finance team. In this critical role, you'll be the guardian of our financial integrity, ensuring accurate and compliant reporting.

Responsibilities include:

• Ensure accurate and compliant financial reporting by applying IFRS to complex transactions.
• Stay up-to-date on IFRS developments and interpret them for consistent application.
• Prepare detailed technical accounting memoranda to support decision-making and audit processes.
• Assist in developing and maintaining accounting policies aligned with IFRS and internal controls.
• Identify potential accounting risks and recommend appropriate control measures.
• Participate in preparing financial statements and disclosures adhering to IFRS.
• Lead or participate in technical accounting projects to improve financial reporting processes.
• Provide technical accounting guidance and support to the wider finance team.

Requirements

• Qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA, or equivalent) with a strong understanding of IFRS
• Prior experience in a technical accounting role within a commercial environment
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
• Advanced Excel skills is essential
• Strong attention to detail
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Proactive and results-oriented with a strong work ethic
