The Permanent Division of Robert Half is currently recruiting for a Financial Accountant on behalf of a Waste company in Milton Ernest.

Purpose of role

  • Support in the statutory reporting elements of the Ancala Bioenergy Group
  • Produce financial statements for the Ancala Bioenergy Group companies
  • Treasury and cashflow forecasting to aid management decisions
  • Responsibility for capex control and reporting in the business
  • Preparation and submission of VAT returns
  • Balance sheet reconciliations
  • Support the CFO and PE partners with any ad-hoc analysis required

    • The day to day duties of the Financial Accountant will consist of:

  • Preparation of year end financial statements for the individual entities within the group under FRS102.
  • Preparation of information for tax advisors to allow for the production of outsourced tax computations.
  • Liaise with the external auditors during the year end audit process to resolve audit queries.
  • Process inter-company loans transactions and interest.
  • Responsibility for the inter-company loans reconciliation.
  • Preparation and submission of VAT returns
  • Assist in the maintaining of the groups cashflow forecast.
  • Maintain the fixed asset register for all entities.
  • Prepare the monthly capex reporting schedule for all ongoing projects.
  • Balance Sheet Reconciliations
  • Ad-hoc tasks as required

    • Your Profile

  • Experience of preparing statutory financial statements
  • Experience of dealing with HMRC and external auditors
  • IFRS and FRS102 experience
  • Strong IT skills including accounting software and MS Office. Strong excel modelling and knowledge. Be confident in using and switching between different software programs
  • Organised and methodical, with a high level of accuracy and attention to detail
  • Part Qualified, studying towards AAT/CIMA/ACCA
