Finance Manager (FTC) in Westhoughton

Ontic, an aerospace industry leading provider of ‘Extended Life Solutions’ for Original Equipment Manufacturer (OEM) legacy and non-core products, has an opportunity for a Finance Manager to join our team based at our office in Bolton on a 9 month fixed term basis starting 1st September 2024 to support our continued success and ambitious growth plans.

What Will You Be Doing?

Sitting within our finance function, you will play a crucial role in supporting financial operations, contributing to the overall efficiency of our finance department, and helping out with the wider business.

You will be responsible for the control of core financial operational processes to ensure the integrity and reliability of monthly financial outputs from the FP&A team. This will be demonstrated by way of timely, accurate and informative month end information which can help senior management and the wider business to understand key performance drivers. 

Additionally, the role will look to identify any new informational needs in the business with the purpose to collect, analyse and report such information in order to support management in the decision-making process, enabling the development of strategic and financial plans. 

What Will You Need to Know?

The ideal candidate must be able to work well under pressure, able to manage multiple tasks and be extremely organised. You will preferablybe early or towards the middle of their journey towards a qualification (ACA, ACCA, CIMA) wanting to study and learn to progress their career.

You will be a self-starter who is prepared to work in a fast-paced environment and can plan/ prioritise workload, supporting and working within a tight knit finance team.

It is essential that you can work with an exceptionally high level of accuracy and are able to maintain focus and concentration during long periods of routine work. You’ll also be able to deal helpfully and professionally with enquiries from a range of different people within and outside the business.
