Finance Director in Lancaster

The Spencer Clarke Group Finance Division are pleased to be working exclusively with an impressive manufacturing business based in the Lancaster area to recruit a Finance Director to join an impressive team.

This pioneering company started a growth & transformation project a few years ago, under the leadership of an equally impressive Managing Director and since then had over doubled in turnover - and project to equal that growth in coming years.

During the project the Managing Director has created a robust, innovative leadership team and they are now looking for dynamic person to take on the Finance Director role within the business.

About the role

Based in Lancaster on a hybrid basis, you will be responsible for leading the Finance, IT & procurement functions, ensuring that continuous improvement, providing comprehensive support to other departments to aide in achieving strategic objectives.

Working in partnership with the Managing Director & SLT, you will be responsible for providing strategic and financial guidance and to put in place all necessary policies, procedures and internal controls.

As the Finance Director you will ultimately be responsible for the whole finance function of the business and the associated team functions.

About you

The ideal candidate for this position must have:

• A formal Accounting Qualification (CIMA/ACCA/ACA)
• Experience working within manufacturing/FMCG/Retail
• Experience within a Financial leadership role
• Be driven by excellence & continuous improvement
• Exceptional Communication skills
