Finance Business Partner Manchester (hybrid) - commutable from Warrington area Salary £60,000 - £65,000 + comprehensive benefits Medlock Partners have recently been engaged by our client, a rapidly expanding Private Equity backed professional services business based in Manchester as they look to appoint a qualified Finance Business Partner in a newly created role. Reporting into the Head of F,P&A, the Finance Business Partner will have responsibility for all commercial financial reporting activities, working closely with multiple departments, influencing strategic decision making and focusing on commercial strategy and delivering insightful analysis on profitibility and performance. Responsibilities: Provide the key interface between the finance department, marketing and sales department. Regularly update and analyse variances on key financial and operational KPI’s relating to the commercial functions. Aid commercial functions with the budgeting process and provide insights and advice to managers on key variance to budgets. Analyse sales and marketing reports and suggest strategies for improving business performance. Analyse promotional activities to ensure the funds invested are achieving optimal results, per marketing strategies and delivering expected returns. Work closely with the commercial managers and other commercial team members in providing data-backed recommendations to the business to support effective decision making. Coordinate with finance team to streamline and channel efforts to improve financial performance of the organisation. Produce return analysis on areas built that shows when they are expected to generate profit and provide insights on what actions need to be taken to generate profit sooner than planned. Provide monthly reporting and narrative for board decks that provide insight into variances and business strategy around the commercial aspect of the business. Requirements: Previous experience in a similar commercial Finance Business Partnering role. Positive and proactive personality with the ability to effectively communicate with stakeholders. Fully qualified accountant (ACCA/CIMA/ACA). Strong written and verbal communication skills. Ability to demonstrate high attention to detail and show strong analytical skills. Advanced computer literacy skills, particularly in Excel. Effective organisational and time management skills. The successful candidate will have a high level of attention to detail, a proactive attitude and the ability to build effective relationships with stakeholders to deliver tasks on time.
