Finance Business Partner in London

An exciting new position has arisen for a Finance Business Partner to join a University in London. To be an integral part of the Leadership Team, offering strategic financial guidance that aligns with the overarching goals of the organization. This role requires a deep understanding of both the financial landscape and the central objectives of the directorates.

Job responsibilities include:

• Oversee the creation of detailed expenditure budgets and forecasts, incorporating project-related activities as necessary
• Analyse management reports to provide meaningful commentary, guiding stakeholders on how to adapt to financial changes and align with strategic goals
• Monitor financial performance in critical areas, including contributions from schools/departments and adherence to operational/project budgets
• Validate that the strategic plans proposed by Faculties/Directorates are feasible and align with the University's overarching goals
• Conduct trend analysis using historical and external data to identify issues and recommend solutions, supporting structural and operational improvements
• Ensure all stakeholders comprehend the financial aspects of new and ongoing contracts, maintaining compliance with University policies and the intentions of the Faculties/Directorates. Regularly track the financial outcomes of these agreements

Successful candidate profile:

• Qualified CCAB, CIMA, ACCA or ACA Accountant
• Extensive and effective post-qualification experience of management accounting and financial analysis
• Proven experience of successful stakeholdership and of working with staff at all levels across an organization to achieve results
