As the Finance Business Partner , you will play a pivotal role in driving Revenue and Contribution and supporting decision-making across Service Lines within the organization. You will act as a bridge between finance and the Service Lines, ensuring alignment of financial goals with overall company objectives.

Key Responsibilities

• Commercial Reporting: Leading the Financial element of Service Line meetings, identifying areas of concern and opportunities for Contribution Margin improvement (jobs with large WIP balances and low recoverability, teams with low utilization, etc. Following up on any actions arising from these meetings.

• WIP Accounting: Responsible for ongoing monitoring of WIP balances, identifying recoverability concerns, following up with Partners as appropriate to agree recoverability plans where possible. Ensuring the month end WIP balance is correctly calculated.

• Budgeting and Forecasting: Partnering with FP&A and Service Line leads to agree forecasts/ budgets by Service Line, investigating variances against these forecasts and agreeing mitigating action where possible.

• Contribution Management: Regular meetings and correspondence with Partners with recoverability issues to drive improvement. Ensuring compliance with Group policies on WIP write-offs, quoting processes, billing schedule/ payment terms and other matters.

• Pricing: Partnering with Service Line leads to build standard pricing models and leading rate-card review process to maximise pricing leverage

• Utilisation: Monitoring resourcing levels by Service Line to ensure high utilization and supporting Service Line leads in decision-making on staffing levels

• Working Capital: Identifying variances against billing and WIP targets, agreeing actions to improve billing e.g. enforcement of direct debits, billing schedules.

• KPI Reporting: Reporting on Partners KPIs monthly.

Qualifications, Knowledge & Experience

• CIMA, ACCA or ACA Qualified with five years post qualified experience

• Experience in a professional services business either an Accounting firm or e.g. Marketing Services

• Advanced Excel Skills

• Ideally prior experience in a PE environment

• Taking a data driven approach to everything;

• A real aptitude for working with numbers;

• Excellent ability to make informed decisions; and

• Confident communication and presentation skills.

• Our standard working week is a 37.5-hour week on a hybrid basis (with up to 50% of your time across the month home based and the other 50% office-based)

• Core working hours are 10am - 4pm Monday to Friday
