Reporting to the Director of Management Accounts, you will take ownership of the financials for Haymarket Business Media (HBM), as well as managing and developing a small team. You will be working with various stakeholders across the business, supporting them with analysis of all financial matters of the division.

Duties will include:

  • Taking ownership for production of all monthly and annual reporting for HBM

  • Sit on the Executive Team of HBM, contributing to the effective running of HBM

  • Sit on HBM Board and attend quarterly Board Meetings with Senior Haymarket Management.

  • Collaborating with HBM managers to complete annual budgets and 3-year business plans

  • Confidently present summary information to executive stakeholders across the group.

  • Create and maintain successful working relationships with key stakeholders, both internally within the team and across other business areas.

  • Attend and credibly contribute to local business meetings.

  • Continuously seek ways to improve internal financial reporting and control processes.

  • Positively challenge business assumptions.

  • Support the business in catering for uncertainty by performing scenario analysis where necessary.

  • Key Skills & Experience: 

  • Attained or working towards a relevant professional qualification (CIMA/ACCA etc). 

  • Experienced with Microsoft Office, operating at an advanced level within Excel. 

  • Good experience of seeking and implementing ways to improve on current practice.

  • Must have a conscientious, accurate and methodical approach to work.

  • Excellent written and oral communication skills, e.g. articulate when communicating to partners and key staff, and able to present financial results to the function and wider business.

  • Can demonstrate strong relationship building skills with ability to work with colleagues at all levels.

  • A team player with a flexible and pro-active approach to work with the ability to work autonomously.
