We are seeking a Finance Assistant to join our UK Accounting and Finance team based in London. The Finance Assistant will support with the input of operational transactions into the financial systems; maintaining the accounting records; performing appropriate controls and reconciliations; support the production of monthly management accounts and reports to internal and external stakeholders; perform periodic accounting processes and support with the year-end, audits, and related administrative processes.

General Responsibilities:

  • Completion of month-end close procedures
  • Accounts Payable - invoice management and processing through to payment
  • Accounts Receivable - reconciliation of incoming payments
  • Expense processing
  • Cash management
  • Daily bank reconciliation
  • Credit control
  • Assisting with client queries
  • Providing support/ liasing with other departments
  • Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree of grade 2:1 or higher (Accounting or Finance related degree preferred)
  • Possess excellent planning and problem-solving capabilities to drive a culture of continual improvement, striving to keep processes best in class
  • Advanced computer skills in MS Office, accounting software and databases (experience in Netsuite would be preferred)
  • Basic knowledge of accounting standards
  • Ability to manage deadlines, and demonstrate effective prioritisation of adhoc project work
  • Excellent communication skills, both in person and online, and ability to communicate complex ideas and information
