As a Finance Assistant with the MSXI Global group, you will be a key contributor to the timely preparation of the monthly management accounts as well as delivering reliable reporting to the UK Operations Team and UK Financial Controller.

The Role

As our new Finance Assistant, you will prepare and process: accruals & prepayments for general overheads and for the CTO Organization, as well as car lease journals. You will also work on the annual budget preparation, gathering information and preparing draft budgets for overhead projects for UK financial controller review.

The Finance Assistant will also:

• Be responsible for the fixed assets accounting and management
• Assist with intercompany account reconciliations; calculate and post exchange differences
• Balance sheet reconciliations of key control accounts (accrued income, deferred income, accruals & prepayments)
• Provide occasional cover for sales and purchase ledger functions
• Do month end review, reporting and variance analysis for overhead projects 
• Draft quarterly overhead forecasts with reasons for variances between budget and forecast
• Monthly credit card reconciliation

About you

This is a fantastic opportunity for a professional who wants exposure to management account reviews with key operational stakeholders. You will be able to be involved in the month end reporting, variance analysis and quarterly review forecasts for one or more value streams.

Our ideal Finance Assistant will:

• Have an accounting qualification such as AAT/CIMA/ACCA (desirable)
• Have exposure to a broad range of accounting responsibilities
• Have experience with J D Edwars accounting systems (desirable but not essential)
• Experience with spreadsheets, double entry bookkeeping and account reconciliations (must)
• Have two years’ experience in a similar role within a finance environment
• Have good understanding of accounting ledgers and the trial balance
