Engineering Shift Manager - Food ManufacturingDays only shift pattern Northwich, CheshireOverviewA large manufacturer in the Cheshire area are growing and are looking to add an Engineering Shift Manager to their engineering team on site. This role will give you the opportunity to manage and oversee a team of engineers whilst maintaining an extended period of time off between shifts still. As an engineering shift manager, you will be responsible for the day to day management of a team of engineers as well as maintaining some hands-on responsibilities as you lead from the front. This is a great opportunity for an experienced engineering shift manager to transition over in to a growing company and site or for someone to step up from a supervisory / team leader position. Responsibilities for the Engineering Shift ManagerScheduling of proactive maintenance for the engineering team.Reactive breakdown management and response.Managing development and progression plans of engineers on site.Managing the daily engineering meeting to discuss performance and ongoing work. Working across electrical and mechanical faults and maintenance when necessary.Working on Engineering projects (e.g. commissioning, installations, relocations)Identifying and implementing improvements covering both processes machine outputAdhering to site Health & safety rules and legislation on siteRequirements for the Engineering Shift ManagerTime-served / recognised apprenticeship (or equivalent) in a relevant engineering subjectExperience working in a similar senior level role at engineering shift manager or engineering supervisor / engineering team leader, ideally in a similar industryAbility to and experience of working to a fast pace, ideally confident in a manufacturing environment.If you’re interested in this opportunity and your CV is ready then hit the apply button and expect to hear from me soon.
