WHAT YOU’LLDO
Curio has been on a consistent upwardstrajectory – growing sales by 20% last year increasingmanufacturing and reaching new market segments and is now seeking aDirector of Operations & Finance to support our continuedgrowth and expansion. Reporting to the Founder and serving on theleadership team the Director of Operations & Financewill:

• Build out strategies systems andprocesses to create the conditions for increased efficienciesfinancial health and sustainability and revenuegrowth.
• Oversee the creation of short andlongterm goals collaborating with the leadership team to developand track key performance metrics; regularly collect and analyzeperformance data to gain insights into drivers of costs revenue andprofitability.
• Lead financial planning budgetingand forecasting processes; institute and utilize reportingmechanisms to easily track and analyze financial position andperformance.
• Provide strategic leadership forkey business functions (e.g. procurement manufacturing logisticshuman resources marketing and sales.) Coach mentor and supportfunctional team leaders as well as directly supervise the retailand wholesale operationsmanagers.
• Manage relationships andcontracts with external consultants and vendors including abookkeeper accountant law firm ERP provider (Cin7Cor) and ITconsulting firm.
• Gain expertise on therequirements of B Corporation compliance and manage therecertification process (occurs on a 3yearcycle.)
• Collaborate with and serve as athought partner to the Founder balancing creative thinking andvision with business management bestpractice.

Youbring at least 10 years of work experience with a proven trackrecord in directorlevel roles and knowledge of all operationalaspects of running a business with strength in strategic planningorganizational performance management and financialplanning/budgeting/forecasting.
• You are a “bigpicture” thinker with ability to implementtactically. You bring an analytical and systematicapproach to setting and translating strategy into tangibleactivities. You leverage financial acumen in datadriven decisionmaking and recommendations. You are comfortable with numbers andhave never met a spreadsheet you didn’tlike.
• You are a handson teamleader who leverages individuals’ strengths and fosterscollaboration . You have experience in managing andcoaching direct and indirect reports for high performance andaccountability to goals. You are a natural motivator play well withothers and encourage domain experts to “step into theirauthority.”
• You are an effectivetransparent and authentic communicator . You conveyinformation clearly and are skilled in breaking down financial datato individuals who do not have finance backgrounds. You communicatefrom a place of humility and curiosity and are eager to learn fromothers’ expertise andknowledge.
• You are a wellorganizedand resourceful project manager. You are experienced inleading and/or supporting multiple projects from inception tocompletion with the ability to guide others through all stages ofexecution. You effectively utilize tools to manage workflows andstrategically use limited resources to reach a desiredoutcome.
• You are anactionoriented agile and tech savvy“doer.” You have a bias towardsaction with the ability to stay focused and nimble in anentrepreneurial and dynamic setting. You are fluid with technologyan expert Excel and Google Slides user and bring experience in (orfacility to learn) other core business systems (e.g. QuickBooksShopify Cin7Cor ShipStation.)

The following qualificationsexperience and knowledge are nice to have but notrequired:

• MBA or comparabledegree
• Experience and/or knowledge of BCorp businesses
• Experience and/or knowledge ofcompanies that manufacture specialty foods beverages commercialgoods or similar products

WORK ENVIRONMENTSALARY AND BENEFITS
This is a hybrid position that works 3days/week at Curio’s main office in Winchester MA.Compensation includes annual salary in the range of $120000 $140000and the following benefits:
