Key Responsibilities

We are looking for an experienced Director of Fundraising to join our Fund Management & Sales team, and lead in capital raising activities across various markets. Your main responsibilities as Director of Fundraising will include:

Lead generation

  • Generate new business through leads, events, market mapping, and other avenues

  • Introduce prospective new third-party introducers and placement agents

  • Lead on investor due diligence efforts for the fundraising period

  • Maintain up-to-date information on family office and institutional investors on CRM and internal systems

  • Relationship management

  • Act as the first point of contact for ongoing investor requests

  • Systematically record feedback and meeting information from investors in the CRM

  • Actively develop and maintain client relationships

  • Actively introduce, develop and manage third-party introducer or placement agent relationships

  • Marketing

  • Oversee the creation and management of sales materials

  • Contribute to client-facing updates on the market, business, and portfolio

  • Lead the preparation of pitches and proposals

  • Development of marketing materials for fundraising, roadshows, AGMs and investors calls

  • Attend and speak at industry events as a representative of the Funds business

  • Working with the investor relations team to ensure the registration of new funds for distribution in appropriate target markets

  • Line management

  • Manage a small fund sales team to deliver results

  • Internal reporting

  • Produce market research, competitor analysis, and presentations for internal strategic meetings

  • Carry out quarterly reporting and other ad-hoc bespoke reporting

  • Prepare annual fund sales strategy to feed into the funds business plan

  • Working closely with the fund management and investor relations team to prepare and maintain target market assessments for each fund strategy

  • Key Skills & Experience

  • Strong track record of raising capital coupled with private markets investment experience with a particular focus on family office and institutional investors in fundraising or a placement agent role

  • Knowledge of private credit and/or real estate strategies is an advantage

  • Knowledge of institutional allocators and the consultant community is an advantage

  • Strong interpersonal and relationship-building skills, able to build strong and lasting relationships with internal and external stakeholders

  • Ability to clearly and accurately communicate complex business and financial product information

  • Precise and persuasive verbal and written communication skills, attention to detail, and creative flair

  • Team player with a high level of integrity, professionalism, and honesty

  • Proficient command of English and demonstrable ability to transform financial performance details into investor-friendly messages

  • High proficiency in GSuite

  • Knowledge of the regulatory requirements and obligations relating to carrying out marketing activities in different jurisdictions
