**The Role:**

Our client is seeking an experienced and passionate Director of Fundraising to join their senior leadership team. This pivotal role involves driving the fundraising strategy and significantly contributing to the financial sustainability and growth of the charity. The successful candidate will manage a team of three full-time fundraisers and two part-time fundraisers, ensuring the implementation of effective fundraising initiatives that align with the charity’s mission and goals.


**Key Responsibilities:**

- **Strategic Development:** Create, implement, and oversee a comprehensive fundraising strategy that includes individual giving, corporate partnerships, grant applications, community fundraising, and major donor programmes.

- **Team Leadership:** Lead, mentor, and motivate the fundraising team to achieve set targets. Foster a collaborative and high-performance culture within the team.

- **Donor Cultivation and Stewardship:** Develop and maintain strong relationships with key donors, partners, and stakeholders. Ensure regular communication and engagement to foster long-term support.

- **Campaign Management:** Plan, execute, and evaluate fundraising campaigns and events, ensuring they are innovative, impactful, and align with the charity’s brand and mission.

- **Compliance and Reporting:** Ensure all fundraising activities comply with relevant legal, ethical, and best practice standards. Provide regular reports on fundraising performance to the senior management team and board of trustees.

- **Budget Management:** Develop and manage the fundraising budget, ensuring cost-effective use of resources and achieving financial targets.


**Requirements:**

- Proven experience in a senior fundraising role within the charity sector.

- Demonstrable success in developing and implementing successful fundraising strategies.

- Strong leadership skills with experience managing and developing a team.

- Excellent relationship-building skills with donors, corporates, and other stakeholders.

- Outstanding communication and presentation skills.

- Strategic thinker with the ability to innovate and drive continuous improvement.

- Comprehensive knowledge of fundraising regulations and best practices.
