DevOps Engineer in Watford

Location: Hybrid: 2-3 days per week on site in Watford

Salary range: £50,000 to £65,000 with annual performance bonus

Burns Sheehan are working with a Hertfordshire business embarking on a significant digital transformation over the next 12 months. Major project wins have secured their future and we are supporting their push for excellence with a several critical hires. The organisation has a strong footing in both the telecoms & IoT markets across Britain and Europe. The next priority for us is a DevOps Engineer to join a talented Operations team of around 15 people.

What are we looking for?

This role will be a great fit for anyone with a strong background in infrastructure coupled with experience of DevOps and automation tooling. The environment is largely Microsoft with a multitude of Azure services, but the business is going through transition and there will be ample opportunity to innovate and explore new tooling.

What will you be doing?

• Working on initiatives to scale & automate network capability.
• Designing solutions utilising Microsoft Azure.
• Building and managing CI/CD pipelines.
• Establishing useful automations across the board, utilising suitable tooling; i.e. Terraform, Ansible, Chef, Puppet.
• Collaborating across teams - software engineering, product, etc - to ensure that services are delivered securely and efficiently.
