Data Product Owner

Jobpurpose:

Altratais seeking a passionate Data Product Owner for our new product lines, to helpbridge the desires and needs of our customers with the execution ofcapabilities from our technology and data teams.

TheData Product Owner is responsible for identifying, preparing, designing, andcommunicating product requirements to the data and technical scrum teams and forensuring successful delivery of data products to our customers.

Theymust work closely with Engineering, Product, Data, Commercial and support teamsto drive Data business growth.

Responsibilities:

·Serveas subject matter expert and product lead for Altrata data products.

·Utilizeknowledge of Altrata data to support commercial and marketing departments and ensureAltrata data drives revenue and maximises client value.

·Buildand execute the data product roadmap: deconstruct epics into features and/oruser stories. Groom, prioritize, manage trade-offs through flexibility inaccommodating ad hoc requests.

·Serveas the conduit between user needs, technical capabilities, and engineeringrequirements, developing these into roadmaps and requirements for the Agilebacklog of a development team.

·Leadthe gathering of technical, as well as customer requirements, to ensure epicsand user stories are detailed and empower the team to be effective andefficient.

·Workwith Product Managers to ensure the sprints and program increments in a releaserepresent what is needed, and that ROI is in line with their expectations.

·Workwith UX team to ensure alignment between data requirements and visual designs.

·EnsureProduct leadership is aware of key issues and changes, and provide them withthe right information and recommendations to resolve these.

·Liaisebetween the product management, data and technology teams to ensureprioritization is recognized and understood.

·Leadproduct review sessions and user acceptance testing sessions, to ensure new datameets product requirements.

Key requirements:

·3+years of experience in data strategy or data product management.

·Knowledgeof working with structured data, and a basic understanding of the main conceptsof data modelling, databases, and data management practices.

·Abilityto translate the product roadmap epics into scrum team epics, features, and/oruser stores, organizing them into defined sprints and product releases.

·Knowledgeof agile processes used within product development.

·Self-starter,who is organized, detail oriented, takes initiative with minimal direction, andgrasps concepts quickly.

·Ensurethe team delivers the desired customer value and customer outcomes.

·Mustbe a strong team player, as well as an individual contributor.

·Thriveswhen working in a fast-paced, creative, innovative technology environment.

Desired skills :

·Has worked with orbeen exposed to People Data and its intricacies of data collection andprocessing.

·Experience as aBusiness Analyst or Product Owner role, managing all stages of the B2B softwareproduct life cycle with relevant stakeholder management experience.

·Experienceworking with workflow and prioritization tools, project management tools, suchas Jira, Confluence, Aha.

·Excellentleadership and motivational skills.

·Offerguidance and mentorship to the scrum team, champion a culture of openness,collaboration, and innovation.

·Experienceworking with Google Analytics, and other Business Intelligence reportingplatform(s).
