OT Cybersecurity Consultant

Milton Keynes / Birmingham

£450 - 500 per day

We are seeking a highly skilled OT Cybersecurity Consultant to join our team and support our clients in securing their operational technology environments. The successful candidate will have a strong background in OT systems, cybersecurity, and risk management, with experience in utility industries such as power, water, and gas.

Key Responsibilities:

• Conduct thorough risk assessments of OT environments to identify vulnerabilities and threats.
• Develop and implement risk management strategies and mitigation plans.
• Design, implement, and manage cybersecurity measures tailored to OT systems.
• Ensure the integration of security controls into the OT network and systems.
• Develop and maintain incident response plans specific to OT environments.
• Lead and support incident response efforts, including analysis, containment, eradication, and recovery.
• Ensure compliance with industry standards and regulations (e.g., NERC CIP, IEC 62443, NIST).
• Conduct regular audits and assessments to ensure ongoing compliance.
• Develop and deliver training programs to increase cybersecurity awareness among OT personnel.
• Provide guidance and best practices for secure operation and maintenance of OT systems.
• Work closely with IT and OT teams to ensure a cohesive cybersecurity strategy.
• Communicate effectively with stakeholders at all levels, including executive leadership, technical staff, and external partners.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

• In-depth knowledge of OT systems and networks (e.g., SCADA, DCS, PLCs).
• Strong understanding of cybersecurity principles and practices specific to OT environments.
• Familiarity with cybersecurity frameworks and standards relevant to OT (e.g., NIST, IEC 62443).
