Mission:

As the Project Quality Engineer, you will be responsible for the Quality Engineering of Serial Process / Product changes & Customer Submissions.

Responsibilities:

  • Support Internal Serial Process changes following APQP methodology.
  • Ensure that significant and critical characteristics are established in partnership with engineering and the customer.
  • Work closely with Production engineering / Programme management, to ensure all changes are implemented in an effective and timely manner.
  • Ensure that timing for quality milestones and activities fit within Project timing plan
  • Preparation of customer and supplier measurement plans & obtaining Customer Approval.
  • Co-ordination of any gauge fixture modification and subsequent measurement system analysis including calculations (R&R studies)
  • Plan and manage measurement activities related to Engineering changes.
  • Statistical analysis of measurements results from capability studies and produce reports.
  • If applicable Co-ordinate obtaining fit & finish / Colour & Grain approval from customer.
  • Ensure all Documents which support the process are reviewed / updated by relevant Functions. (PFMEA, Control Plan, SOP’s etc)
  • Preparation of PPAP / PSW package on customer agreed format.
  • Responsible for conformity of product requirements and has the authority to stop shipment and production to raise and correct quality issues through the agreed escalation processes

What we are looking for:

  • Have relevant experience of working within a fast moving/high volume manufacturing environment.
  • Automotive process based approach for auditing, including risk-based thinking.
  • Training/Knowledge of Special Characteristics (sc / cc) (Safety and Regulation.
  • Customer Specific Requirements that apply.
  • ISO 9001 and IATF 16949 requirements related to the standard.
