Overview:

Toprovide quality recommendations on credit applications for both FIs(Banks and Insurance) and Corporates clients (inclusive ofCommodity Finance and Real Estate) in full compliance with thedefined credit risk appetite credit policy and regulatoryrequirements.

WhatYou Will BeDoing:

• Assessthe credit risk and financial strength of the firms borrowers andcounterparts by performing fundamental credit analysis using bothquantitative and qualitativefactors.

• Review lendingunderwriting transactions determine risk appetite and creditratings having developed an independent view of cash flowprojections and of key documentationprotection.

• Perform sectoranalysis regularly to assess portfolio concentrations ortrends.

• Responsibility forannual reviews and businessrequests.

• Monitoring theportfolio and identify trends andrisks.

• Produce all reportsrelating to RLU area on time and to a high standard e.g. theWatchlist and Remedial Asset Portfolio and review of Watchlist andProvision Policy.
• To ensure adherence to IFRS9guidelines as part of credit review process.
• Toperform Climate Risk assessment in the context of creditreview.

• Ensure that creditproposals adhere to the Bank and Group CreditPolicy.

• Produces thereports relating to KRIs and MI Pack on time and to a high standardwhen necessary.

• To visitthe Banks customers and potential customers whenrequired.

• To be familiarwith the Banks systems (e.g. CMS Risk Management Reporting CreditLens SNL SnP Capital IQ Moodys Fitch and CapitalIntelligence).

• To attendIBCC meetings and present credit applications to the committee ifnecessary.

• Support theDeputy Head of Credit and Head of Credit in ad hoc riskrelatedspecial tasks and projects such as the preparation of riskacceptance criterion as well as coordinating with other risk unitsin relation to policy/operationprocedures/implementation.

• Tocomply with all relevant external legal regulatory and reportingrequirements.

CandidateSpecification :

• Knowledgeof banking industry products/services including Trade FinanceReceivable/Payable Financing Asset Backed Finance (Real EstateResidential Commercial etc.) Project Financeetc.
• IFRS9 Framework
• CAMELModel Analysis.
• Climate RiskAssessment.
• Risk Management Framework CreditRisk Market Risk Operational Risk and RegulatoryRisk
• Good language skills in English. FrenchGerman or Italian would be an addedadvantage
• FinancialModeling.
• More than 5 years relevant Corporatecredit (including Commodity Finance and Real Estate) and FI (bothBanks and Insurance) credit.
• Exposure toIslamic Finance Productsis highlydesirable.
• Knowledge/experience of GCC and MENAmarkets including a good understanding of the FI and corporateclients economic sectors macroeconomic factors and related countryrisks within the region is a benefit.
• Fairamount of experience in assessing Trade Finance proposalsReceivable / Payable Financing is highlydesirable.
• Demonstrated knowledge of creditpolicies and procedures regulations and applicablelaws.
