Overview

We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Content Director to lead our content strategy for both learners and buyers and play a high-profile role within the industry.

The Content Director will lead in developing, executing, and overseeing the content creation process to ensure our materials are engaging, informative, and aligned with our business objectives. They will manage a team of content creators and work closely with various departments to drive the content strategy forward.

They will have a high profile and active role to play building the brand in the industry by attending and speaking at events and on social media. They will also play an active role in acquiring and retaining customers attending relevant meetings with the sales team.

Key Responsibilities

  • Team Leadership - Manage and mentor a team of content creators, editors, and freelancers, setting clear objectives and providing guidance to ensure high-quality content output.
  • Industry Profile – Maintain a high-profile voice with the industry attending and speaking at events and working with sales teams to deliver excellent customer outcomes.
  • Content Strategy - Develop and implement a comprehensive content strategy aligned with business goals, target audience, and market trends.
  • Content Production - Oversee the end-to-end content production process, from ideation and creation to editing and publication on our platforms, ensuring consistency, quality, and relevance across all materials.
  • Collaboration - Work cross-functionally with marketing, product, and sales teams to align content initiatives with overall business objectives and support various campaigns and product launches.
  • Quality Control - Establish and maintain content quality standards, style guides, and best practices to ensure accuracy, consistency, and adherence to brand guidelines.
  • Optimising Usage - Monitor content performance metrics, analyses data, and utilise insights to refine and optimise future content strategies.
  • Innovation & Trends - Stay updated on industry trends, new content formats, and emerging technologies to continually improve content offerings and stay ahead in the industry.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree or above, ideally in a subject relevant to this role.
  • Proven experience (7+ years) in content creation, with at least 3 years in a leadership role.
  • Strategic mindset with the ability to turn insights into actionable strategies.
  • Strong leadership and team management skills with the ability to inspire and motivate a creative team.
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills with a keen eye for detail
  • Subject matter expert in digital marketing and ecommerce.
  • Excellent public speaking and presentation building skills.
  • Team player who enjoys working collaboratively.
  • Proactive, self-starter, capable of creating and managing own workload.
